Man found dead in Ewell river named by police

THE man whose body was dragged out of a freezing river on Wednesday has been named by police.

The body of Jason Khalili, 52, from Epsom, was recovered from the Hogsmill?near Green Lanes, in Ewell, after police were called to the scene at around 11.20am.

His next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem?examination was?due to take place on Friday.

Officers are still keen to speak to anyone who saw Mr Khalili in the area in the time leading up to his death,?as they try to piece together how he came to be in the river.
