Driver killed in Ascot car crash

A motorist has died following a fatal collision in Ascot this morning.

A yellow Renault Clio and a black BMW 318I collided on the A332 Swinley Road, close to the junction with Bracknell Road, at around 8am.

The driver of the Clio, a 30-year-old man from Surrey, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the BMX suffered minor injuries and was not taken to hospital.

Anyone who saw the collision or either vehicle before it should call PC Tom Gibson of the Road Death Investigation team on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Motorcyclist killed in early morning crash

- had just left ‘All Black’ party

A night of fun and frolic with friends, ended tragically for father of two, Robin Ali, 25, of Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara.
Reports reaching this newspaper stated that Ali lost control of his motorcycle, CE 835 and slammed into a light pole some time around 06:30hrs.
The accident happened in the vicinity of the Gafoors Super Center at Houston, East Bank Demerara.

Dead Robin Ali

A number of relatives yesterday gathered at his sister’s home at Providence, East Bank Demerara.
One relative said that someone called them shortly after 09:00 hrs, and informed them of the accident.
Ali’s sister, Amina Roza, told this publication that she last saw her brother on Saturday night.? She suggested that the accident probably happened when her brother was heading home.
She explained that the family was having a religious ceremony on Saturday and afterwards her brother left to take his wife and children home.
Roza said that she was told by a few of her brother’s friends that he was partying at the “All Black Party” on Saturday night.
She described her brother as a very easy going and loving person. Ali leaves to mourn his wife, two children, three siblings and his parents.
On Friday last, 12 persons perished in another road accident. The dead were identified as
Oudit Narine Baboolall, Orlando DeMattos ,Talita Mendonca and her two-month-old son, Josiah Khan, Janet Baker , 46-year-old Salima Juman,, Salmaa Razaac ,35-year-old Cindy Jaggernauth, 30-year-old Patricia Asgarally, 38-year-old Chetram Ramphal,? 14-year-old Marquest Ault, and 19-year-old Nazradin Mohinudin, of East Canje Berbice.
Only five persons survived the horrific accident, those were 24-year-old Tamika Fraser, of Kildonan; Sham Jaggernauth, of Nigg; Fiona Paramsook of No. 11 Village, Corentyne; and Anwhatie Singh, who was the conductress of the minibus. She was the driver’s wife.

Speeding driver killed in Diamond crash

A speeding driver was killed just before midnight last night and his wife injured after the car they were in slammed headlong into a utility pole on the east Bank Demerara public road near Little Diamond.
The driver, identified as Bopendra Narine, a barber of Grove Squatting Area, East Bank Demerara, died at around 23:30 hrs at the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, despite valiant efforts by medical staff to save him.

A grief-stricken relative

His reputed wife, Amanda Singh, 26, sustained head injuries and was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
Narine and his wife were heading south along the East Bank Demerara public road at around 22:30 hrs, in their vehicle, which had the words ‘Black Lightning’ emblazoned on it, when he lost control at the turn near Diamond Distilleries Limited.
He skidded off the roadway and slammed into a utility pole with such force that it snapped in two.
Eyewitnesses said that his spouse, Amanda, was hurled through an open window into a nearby ditch.
A relative of Narine’s, who was driving nearby and witnessed the accident, took the badly injured man and his wife to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre.
As the medical staffers battled to save the unconscious man, relatives who gathered outside the hospital became incensed when they realised that there was no ambulance driver present to transport the couple to the Georgetown Public Hospital. At the time, there were two ambulances in the compound, but no driver was around.
Eventually, an ambulance arrived from the GPHC, but by then, Narine had already succumbed.
Earlier in the day, motorcyclist Robin Ali was killed on the same public road when his CBR motorcycle crashed into a pole near Houston.

Tributes left for "legend" killed in a car bridge accident

Messages of condolence and dozens of floral tributes were left at the scene of a Taunton fatal car accident.

Daniel pitchers, who lived locally, died when his Vauxhall Astra crashed at the end of a wall of brick bridge of Ray, Ray Lane, in the early hours of Tuesday 19 and 24.

Car caught fire, but the teams did not sure that there was someone inside until they had extinguished the blaze.

The road has a sharp bends goes on deck, has seen a number of accidents in recent years and Sheila McCrory, owner of the nearby Ray Lodge farm B & B believes that conditions near the scene of the accident driving can be dangerous in the best cases.

She said: "he had a few accidents there in the past."

"Somebody told me that he [Mr. pitchers] went home so perhaps he knew as well road, but there are big things on both sides and it is fairly narrow leading up to the elbow."

"I think it would have been too traffic at the time of the night", she added.

Tributes left the scene was a message from Dr. pitchers, parents who read: "in our bébé.Nous love you so Dan, you light in our lives."We love you and miss you ever.?

Among the flowers and the Cubs, a scarf of Crystal Palace football club was also left.

A single message, simply signed Amy, read: "' I love you and will be toujours.Ne you will never forget." "

Another tribute described Mr. pitchers as a "legend" had a "cheeky smile."

He had worked for several years as a manager at Richmond Bookmakers in Godstone Road, less than a mile from where he died.

A sign has been conditioned to the store, saying: "At the request of the family of Daniel pitchers, we would like to inform all our clients a funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, November 1 at the Surrey and Sussex Crematorium Crawley, subsequently to the Greyhound in Taunton.Tous pub are welcome."

"As a mark of respect for his family and friends, this workshop will be closed for the day."
