Winston Murray collapses

People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR), Vice Chairman, and contender for the party’s presidential candidate, Winston Murray, was last evening rushed to Balwant Singh Hospital in Georgetown after he collapsed on his way to his Continental Park, East Bank Demerara home.
According to reports, he was in an unconscious condition, and a scan showed that there was blood around his brain, apparently due to the impact of the fall. Murray was heading home when he stopped at Houston to buy a lotto ticket, according to his colleague and supporter, Ronald Austin.
Austin said that after he collapsed he had the presence of mind to give someone phone numbers and the keys to his car.
He also gave instructions that he be taken to Balwant Singh Hospital.
Up to late last night Mr. Murray was in hospital with doctors trying to stabilize him. Some of his other supporters were tight-lipped about his condition.
Murray has fallen ill at a time when campaigners close to him have said that his pitch across the country for the presidential candidacy is picking up.
